Common Questions

Libre Immigration Services Inc is not a bail bond company. We help secure immigration bonds through indemnifying bonds and by using GPS technology. Libre Immigration Services has contracts with the bail bond companies that actually post the immigration bond. This way, you do not need to offer property as collateral to secure your immigration bond. Libre Immigration Services secures the bond with GPS technology.

Libre Immigration Services Inc, along with the two law firms it funds, Libre Caridades and Libre Derechos Humanos, are national organizations providing services to clients regardless of location. No appointment is needed because all legal referrals are conducted electronically. For more information about finding a Libre representative near you, call 1-844-284-7610.

Libre Immigration Services Inc does not discriminate against our program participants for any reason. We believe that relationships and support in the community are extremely important to the program participants’ chances of successfully managing their cases. For that reason, we would rather work with family and friends close to the person who is being detained than a person who is only helping because they have papers. Libre Immigration Services Inc will always keep you and your loved ones’ residency status and personal information confidential.

Our focus is to get your loved one out of custody, therefore, we provide help every step of the way. At Libre Immigration Services Inc, we do not require you to have credit or collateral to qualify for our services. We understand that many of our program participants and their families do not own any real estate property within the United States. Because of this, we do not require real estate ownership for our program participants to qualify for our services.

The process is relatively simple and it does not take long to complete. When you call and speak to a Libre Immigration Services Inc case manager, they will collect the necessary information. We can typically have your loved one out of the detention center by the next day, and in emergency situations, we are sometimes able to get your loved one released on the same day you call.

We do not benefit from a program participant not understanding what they are committing to. We work with program participants to ensure that they fully understand the contract. All of our contracts are translated into Spanish and are explained in-depth with an audio recording to ensure that program participants understand every line. If a program participant needs a contract in any other language, they are able to request a copy of the contract in the language of their choice. A sample English version of both our Participant and Sponsor contracts can be found here. A sample Spanish version of both our Participant and Sponsor contracts can be found here. You can listen to the contract in Spanish by clicking here. We take pride in the high rate of satisfaction among the thousands of program participants we have been able to serve.

We are up front and transparent about the costs of our services. There are several types of charges and fees for participation in the Libre program including Set Up Fees, Monthly Program Fees, Maintenance Fees, Equipment Damage Fees, and Program Non-Compliance Fees. These are explained in detail in the contract that we give and explain to every program participant. The costs will vary based on several factors, including the bond amount.

Libre Immigration Services Inc is a private, for-profit organization, however, 90% of the company’s profits are reinvested in the community through free legal referral services, philanthropic work, and other contributions of aid to those in the immigration system.

When a client qualifies for a refund, we work diligently to process their account and get their money returned to them. Unfortunately, simply because a case has closed does not mean that the bond has been cancelled. In order to refund money paid towards bond after a case is closed, we have to do several things to verify the bond’s cancellation. One very important part of that process is verifying what is known as an I-391 form, which is the confirmation from the government that the person’s bond has been cancelled, and they no longer have any responsibility to the immigration courts. This is typically handled by the participant’s attorney if they have one. If not, then Libre Immigration Services will attempt to get the bond cancelled so that the money may be refunded to the participant.

Libre Immigration Services Inc complies with all applicable laws and regulations, and approaches each participant’s situation on a case-by-case basis. We work with our clients to the best of our ability to resolve situations like a cut-off bracelet, failure to report, and late payments without any government interference. We have taken action to defend the privacy interests of our clients. However, program participants have agreed that they do not have a privacy interest in the information they provide to Libre, and that Libre may have to disclose records in accordance with applicable laws, rules, or regulations.

Our company has reunited over 20,000 families and secures immigration bonds every day. We understand that the communities we serve are often targeted by government agencies and criminals who would take advantage of families in need. To reassure our program participants, we accept credit and debit cards and encourage our clients to take steps to protect themselves from fraud when dealing with any company.

Libre offers this Fee Waiver Program for financially distressed participants.
